Johnny Cockburn, Gavin Haveran & Hughie Archibald were all born around 1898. Assuming they are 7/8 years in the photograph dates it to 1906

Howard Johnstone, M Barr & Robert Andrews were all born in 1895. Assuming they are 11 years old in this photograph that would date it as 1906

Mr Frazer began his term as headmaster in 1908. In the absence of any other information this photograph may have been taken to mark the start of that tenure.

My dad, John Smith (No 6), was born in 1919. He looks to be about 6 years old dating this photograph to 1925.

Catherine Love (No.8) is the daughter of the James Love, founder of Love's joinery. Mr Rice was headmaster from 1925 till 1928, Catherine was born in 1913 and she looks to be around 14 years old. These two facts date this photograph to 2027 +/- a year.

W Thomson, Stuart McCormick and Pat Smith were all born in 1920. These pupils look to be 7 or 8 years old which would date this photograph as 1927/28. Pat Smith is Pat's dad and my uncle.

This photograph is dated sometime between 1925 and 1928 which was the tenure of Mr Rice as headmaster.

A number of pupils in this photograph were born in 1918 assuming they are 10 years old dates this photograph as 1928.

Kinderspiel aproximately 1929. Kinderspiel is german for childs play. From the attire of those in the back row this looks like a Xmas play. 8,9 & 10 look like the 3 Kings and 11 an angel. Can't quite figure out the purpose of the boys with sailor hats or Robin Hood at 50!
