The purpose of the site is to help those new to the village to connect with its past and for those who have left for pastures new to remember what was left behind
Burnfoot House photographed in 1965 courtesy of Canmore. The next photograph is of the same house in 2017. This would originally have been the property of Hamilton Adam who commenced the industrialisation of this corner of Lochwinnoch. While proof reading this I noticed I had mistakenly labelled the photograph as Burnfield House - a Freudian slip as my house near Perth is called Burnfield!!!

Burnfoot Cottage 9 April 1965
The cottage at the junction of Burnfoot Road and Corsefield Road. Again this photograph is courtesy of Canmore and was shot in 1965. The next photograph of it was taken in 2017 and shows the property nicely renovated.
Burnfoot Cottage 2017
This cottage is in the earliest map dated 1856 which makes this building at least 168 years old in 2024. Hope I look as good when I reach 168 !
