The purpose of the site is to help those new to the village to connect with its past and for those who have left for pastures new to remember what was left behind
The building with the large door in its gable end is one of three buildings that were in the earliest map from 1856 making it at least 168 years old in 2024. It is currently used as a store for the golf club. The other two are Burnfoot House and the Cottage.

Taken in 1965 looking at the future golf club storage building at the junction of Burnfoot road and Corsefield road. The outline on the gable end of another building that was attached to this one can be seen. It was still present in the 1911 map.
