The purpose of the site is to help those new to the village to connect with its past and for those who have left for pastures new to remember what was left behind
A photograph of the McKinlays, owners and operators of the block printing works. On the left is John Guy and the others are all McKinleys. The chap in the light suit is James McKinlay, grandfather of Hugh who went to school with Pat. One of the other McKinlays is Richard but I don't know which one nor the Christian names of the remaining McKinlay's.

The inscription makes very sad reading. One child died at only 3 and two sons perished in World War One.
