The purpose of the site is to help those new to the village to connect with its past and for those who have left for pastures new to remember what was left behind
Lochhead Cabinet Works
The Lochhead Cabinet Works started trading in 1897. It emerged literally from the ashes of Hunter Hamilton & Crawford which had burned down the previous year. The Partnership broke up and Hamilton & Crawford built a new factory to the rear of the Parish Church.
