Queenside dam was constructed before the Calder dam. The Calder dam was removed in the 1970's.

The processing plant was located just beyond the current visitor centre at Muirshiel.

This dam provided backup water when the river was low.

This structure diverted water into a lade to supply Calderbank bleachworks.

This lade fed the Calder Glen mills.

The falls were constructed to feed a lade which ran to the Calderpark mill then onwards to Calderhaugh Mill.
